Disability GIFs
Vyond
Bernard in the U.A.E.
Sarah in Ghana
These GIFs were requested by WorldKind to be included in their pre-departure eLearning course for study abroad students. Because October is Disability Awareness Month, they wanted to create a series of scenarios to show how disabilities can come into conflict with cultural norms. These GIFs will be incorporated into interactive lessons where participants will work through some possible ways to navigate cultural norms.
Problem Addressed:
The client provided a storyboard and some branded visuals in Vyond. For the U.A.E. gif there were fewer branded visuals. I had to find high rise buildings that matched, as much as posisble, the skyline of the U.A.E. Because there are limited elements from other cultures in Vyond, I had to create the Ramadan banners in Canva and import them into Vyond. The voiceover will be added by the organization when they develop the interactive activity.
