Befriend Your Breath
Rise
This Rise course was created for an organization that wants to promote well-being by introducing employees to meditation practice. It provides background knowledge about the history, types, and benefits of meditation. It guides learners to establish a meditation space and start a home practice, and it suggests strategies for dealing with common setbacks.
Problem Addressed:
The organization has noticed an increase in burnout among employees since the pandemic. The leadership team, which oversees mostly remote workers, wants to promote wellbeing and acknowledge the need for work-life balance. This decision is informed by statistics showing that stress-management leads to increased productivity and job satisfaction. This course is one of several options that staff can choose to explore during a virtual staff wellness retreat.
